Assembly Guide
To assemble the P1 refill to the top open desktop diary stand you will require the 2 set screw set which includes: 2 ea x Stainless Steel screws, 2 ea x Stainless Steel Hexagon Nuts and 2 ea x stainless Steel Tooth washers, the P1 diary refill and the top open desktop stand and the associate cover plate.
Remove plastic shrink wrap from your diary. Place your personal memoranda at the back of the diary block facing into the diary, leaving the first page to be the first day of January. Add any pages from your previous year's edition diary, such as contact details, personal memoranda or other special pages to your new edition block and place on a table. Align the cover plate over the top of the diary matching the punched holes together. Drop a screw in each hole of the diary and cover plate. Pick the diary and cover plate up, careful not too disturb alignment and lower down onto the top of the desktop diary stand, further aligning the diary block, cover plate and screws so that you can pop the screws into the stand holes without much pressure. Try to be accurate at this stage as to avoid scratching the surface of the stand with the screws if they are miss aligned, slow and steady here. Once in, with one hand holding the assemble together, especially the two screws in place with a little pressure (index and middle fingers if you can) flip the stand around until you see two screw threads waiting to be tightened. Place a tooth washer on the end of one screw, letting it rest on the base of the stand. Screw the hexagon nut onto the thread with washer with fingers until the hexagon nut is tight and the tooth washer gets some grip. Follow with the other screw, tooth washer and hexagon nut. There may be scratched lines and a light grease film on the underside of these stands which is normal processes in manufacturing Harbour stands. Wipe clean if you wish. Flip the stand upright and you should be ready to go. If the diary block is not straight, try loosening the nuts only enough to allow some movement. Tap pages into alignment and then tighten screws again to fix into place.
